Just Andersen (1884-1943) was born in Godhavn, Greenland. In 1910 he moved to Copenhagen to study at the Royal Academy. After the academy he worked for Mogens Ballin and George Jensen. In 1918 he opened his own place with his wife, Alba Mathilde. His work, mostly in bronze and disco metal, a metal of his invention, created an almost immediate buzz and saw him opening up in London, Berlin, New York and Los Angeles.
